Q: How can I install the new display?
You can install the display at home or hire a local technician to install it for you. You shouldn't attempt self-installation if you've never done this before. Here, we'll provide a brief overview of how the display's installation works:
- First, blow hot air over the back glass, use a plastic card to cut through the glue, and remove the back panel.
- Open all the screws from mid-housing and separate it from the middle frame.
- Please open all the screws from the motherboard and bottom side charging area.
- Disconnect the old display's flex from the charging PCB at the bottom right corner.
- Connect the new display's flex to the same location where you disconnected the old display's flex.
- Turn on the phone to test the new display to your satisfaction.
- Remove the cracked display from the frame and install a new one using glue or double tape.
Without installing the display, you can easily test all its features, including fingerprint scanning. Place the display in the front frame and connect it to the charging PCB. Then, you can simulate the testing process easily.
